Plaster Types We Install
The look of a plaster wall comes mostly from the plaster itself. Venetian is made for a polished, marble-like sheen. Marmorino gives a softer, stone-like matte to satin. Lime blends from New Age Artisans in Bozeman create warm, natural, cloudy surfaces. Not sure which fits your space? Every project starts with samples in your own light, and plaster work is quoted per project after an on-site visit. Travel costs increase the farther the job is from Bozeman.

Lime putty and very fine marble dust, applied in thin layers and burnished with a steel trowel. The tight, dense surface takes a polish, so Venetian is the choice for a satin to high-gloss, marble or onyx look with real depth. Best for feature walls, entryways, dining rooms, ceilings and powder rooms.

A lime plaster with coarser marble aggregate, so it reads like natural stone instead of polished marble. It can be troweled smooth and compressed to a soft satin glow, or left textured and rustic. Marmorino hides wall imperfections well and suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and mountain-modern homes. Sealed for kitchens and baths.

Lime plasters made right here in Bozeman by New Age Artisans, including their Heritage base coat and Classic finish plaster, tinted with natural pigments to your color. These give a warm, soft, cloudy finish with gentle movement and a little shine once waxed. It's the plaster in our hallway project below, and we also use New Age materials for plaster repairs.

Walkthrough & Samples
We visit your home, talk through the look you want and make samples so you can choose the plaster, color and finish with confidence.
Careful Prep
Floors, trim and fixtures are protected, and walls are prepped and primed so the plaster bonds properly and lasts for decades.
Hand Application
Plaster goes on in thin layers, each one troweled by hand to build the depth, movement and character that make plaster special.
Finish & Protect
Venetian is burnished to a polish, Marmorino is compressed to a soft sheen, and natural lime plasters are left beautifully matte. We seal where needed and leave the space clean.

Classic Plaster Hallway with Weaver's Walls
One of the biggest plaster projects we've done, completed alongside Weaver's Walls using New Age Artisans Classic plaster in their Balboa Mist color. Hand-troweled over the full hallway and ceiling, then waxed and sealed for a soft, cloudy finish that catches the natural light.
